The Poteau Pirates routed the visiting Checotah Wildcats softball squad by a count of 13-0 in Thursday's league battle.
The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Checotah (Checotah, OK). The Wildcats go into the 4A District 5 bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Checotah toppled Fort Gibson (Fort Gibson, OK), 7-3, in a league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Poteau for a 4A District 5 bout on Thursday, August 10.
