Latta Panthers (Ada, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kellyville for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 11. Latta will battle a Ponies squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Mounds (Mounds, OK). The Ponies record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, McAlester falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Glenpool (Glenpool, OK) to battle the Warriors in a 5A District 4 challenge on Monday, August 14. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Glenpool lost 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Quapaw (Quapaw, OK)
