The Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) volleyball knocked off the host Lake Hornets (Lake, MS), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 10. Newton County will clash with a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lake (Lake, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 6-2.
