In Thursday's non-league contest, the Roswell Hornets (Roswell, GA) softball team held off the visiting Centennial Knights (Roswell, GA), by a margin of 13-12.
With the triumph, Roswell moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Hornets host West Forsyth (Cumming, GA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league contest on Monday, August 15. The Wolverines come into the contest with a record of 2-1. West Forsyth won 10-8 in their recent non-league contest against Etowah (Woodstock, GA)
In their next game, the Knights play the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans (Norcross, GA) in a 5A Area 6 contest, on Tuesday, August 16. Centennial will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA).
