In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Franklin County Lions volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Johnson Knights.

The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Bethlehem Christian Academy nudged Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Knights clash with the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 16. Johnson will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA).
