The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) and the host Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA), observed Sandy Creek's softball team notch a victory over Hampton by a final score of 40-20.

The Patriots (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Lions go into the 3A Region 2 bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Trinity Christian was routed by Spalding (Griffin, GA), 10-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Eagle's Landing Eagles (McDonough, GA) in a 4A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, August 12. Hampton will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 19-1 league loss to Union Grove (McDonough, GA).
