With the win, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 2-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Plainview (Plainview, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Plainview lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX)

The Mavericks now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Paschal for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. Eastland will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.
