North Carolina High School Volleyball - Draughn tips Alexander Central

August 12, 2024: Valdese, NC 28690

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) and the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), observed Draughn's volleyball team hold off Alexander Central by a count of 3-2.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, East Burke got by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cougars battle the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 14. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
