In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Port Gibson Blue Waves volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Crystal Springs Tigers.
The Blue Waves (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS). The Indians enter the Class 3A Region 7 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Hazlehurst was beaten by Wesson (Wesson, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 19. Crystal Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
