In Monday's league challenge, the host Excel Christian Academy Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Hearts Academy Panthers.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Covenant Christian School (Cedartown, GA). The Rams enter the GAPPS DI-A Region 1 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Covenant Christian School was tipped by Praise Academy (Powder Springs, GA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Oak Mountain Academy Warriors (Carrollton, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 15. Hearts Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, GA).
