In Tuesday's non-league match, the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) volleyball squad tipped the host Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Commodores battle the Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, August 12. Lafayette will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Golden Wave come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Starkville (Starkville, MS).

With the loss, Alcorn Central drops to 4-6 on the campaign. The Bears host Tupelo (Tupelo, MS) to clash with the Golden Wave in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 12.
