In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Hayesville Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Highlands Highlanders.

The Yellowjackets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Smoky Mountain beat Highlands (Highlands, NC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders play the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A challenge, on Thursday, August 14. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Braves go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).
