The Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) volleyball knocked off the host Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC), 3-1 in Tuesday's non-league contest.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Fairmont (Fairmont, NC). The Golden Tornadoes go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Fairmont was knocked off by Pender (Burgaw, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Bucks battle the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 13. Hoke County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC).
