The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting Claxton Tigers softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 15. Emanuel County Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 13-4 league win over Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).
The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Portal (Portal, GA). The Panthers enter the 1A D-II Region 3 challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Portal edged McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA), 17-1, in a league challenge.
