The Porter Pirates softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Liberty Tigers to 2 in the Pirates non-league win on Tuesday.

The Pirates now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wister for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 15. Porter will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 7-6 league win over Allen (Allen, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Liberty moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Mounds (Mounds, OK) to confront the Golden Eagles in a 2A battle on Tuesday, August 20. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Mounds lost 5-4 in their recent non-league battle against Rejoice Christian (Owasso, OK)
