The Madison County Red Raiders softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs to 9 in the Red Raiders non-league win on Tuesday.

The Red Raiders now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Oconee for a 4A Region 8 battle on Thursday, August 15. Madison County will confront a Titans team coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Titans record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Winder-Barrow moves to 0-5 on the season. The Bulldoggs host Apalachee (Winder, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A Region 8 battle on Thursday, August 15. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 1-3. Apalachee won 17-2 in their recent non-league battle against Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA)
