Telfair County Trojans (McRae, GA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA), 11-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Telfair County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Trojans travel to Treutlen (Soperton, GA) to play the Vikings in a 1A D-II Region 4 game on Thursday, August 15. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 0-1. Treutlen lost 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA)

The Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Wheeler County for a 1A D-II Region 4 game on Thursday, August 15. Montgomery County will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.
