With the win, Elbert County advances its record to 1-4 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Putnam County (Eatonton, GA) to face the War Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, August 15. The War Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-0. Putnam County won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Greene County (Greensboro, GA)

The Rams now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westminster Christian Academy for a GIAA 4AA test on Thursday, August 15. Monsignor Donovan Catholic will face a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
