In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sumrall Bobcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Poplarville Hornets.

The Bobcats (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Petal lost by Newton County (Decatur, MS), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 15. Poplarville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS).
