The Corinth Holders Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Rocky Mount Gryphons to 0 in the Pirates non-league victory on Monday.
The Pirates now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northern Nash for a non-league game on Wednesday, August 16.
The Gryphons (0-1) will now prepare for their game against North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, North Pitt dropped by Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC), 1-0, in a non-league game.
