Early County Bobcats (Blakely, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), 20-5 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Quitman County for a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Thursday, August 17.

With the loss, Mitchell County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA) to face the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 15. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
