In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Mount Vernon Mustangs softball team scored a tight 12-5 win over the Decatur Bulldogs.
The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Wesleyan (Norcross, GA). The Wolves come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Wesleyan was routed by Dunwoody (Dunwoody, GA), 4-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Dunwoody Wildcats (Dunwoody, GA) in a match, on Thursday, August 22. Decatur will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
