Houston County Bears (Warner Robins, GA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), 9-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Houston County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Marion County (Buena Vista, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, August 16. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 2-4. Marion County won 14-4 in their recent non-league game against Shaw (Columbus, GA)

The Raiders now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to South Effingham for a non-league game on Saturday, August 17. West Laurens will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
