Georgia High School Softball - Pickens bounces North Murray

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the visiting North Murray Mountaineers (Chatsworth, GA), observed Pickens's softball team get by North Murray by a tally of 12-8.

The Dragons (6-0) will now prepare for their bout against East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, East Hall was routed by Franklin County (Carnesville, GA), 5-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the North Cobb Christian Eagles (Kennesaw, GA) in a 2A Region 7 bout, on Thursday, August 15. North Murray will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 8-4 league win over Ringgold (Ringgold, GA).
