Georgia High School Softball - Echols County bounces Atkinson County

The Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA) softball routed the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), 17-1 in Thursday's league outing.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valwood for a non-league test on Monday, August 18.
The Rebels (0-4) will now prepare for their test against Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Trojans go into the 1A D-II Region 2 test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Brooks County was routed by Irwin County (Ocilla, GA), 13-3, in a league contest.
