With the triumph, Lamar County improves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to Spalding (Griffin, GA) to face the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Monday, August 18. The Jaguars enter the contest with a record of 7-0. Spalding won 7-5 in their recent league bout against Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 16. Crawford County will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 18-0 league win over Eagle's Landing (McDonough, GA).
