The Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) softball routed the visiting South Cobb Eagles (Austell, GA), 15-0 in Thursday's league outing.
The Hawks now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sequoyah for a non-league bout on Friday, August 15. Hillgrove will clash with a Chiefs team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Pope (Marietta, GA). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-4.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, August 18. South Cobb will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Allatoona (Acworth, GA).
