McIntosh Chiefs (Peachtree City, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they witnessed their softball team gain a win over the host Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA), 16-1 in a league battle.

The Chiefs now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northgate for a 5A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, August 19. McIntosh will confront a Vikings team coming off a 13-0 league win over Dutchtown (Hampton, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-1.

The Panthers (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Banneker (College Park, GA). The Trojans enter the 5A Region 3 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Banneker overcame Morrow (Morrow, GA), 16-13, in a league challenge.
