In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Veterans Warhawks softball team scored a tight 13-6 victory over the Perry Panthers.

The Warhawks (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Coffee (Douglas, GA). The Trojans enter the 5A Region 2 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Coffee edged Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 9-8, in a non-league game.

The Panthers now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Taylor County for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 19. Perry will battle a Vikings team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-1.
