The Sequoyah Indians softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Salina Wildcats to 4 in the Indians non-league win on Thursday.

The Indians now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Edmond North for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 15. Sequoyah will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to North Rock Creek (Shawnee, OK). The Huskies record now stands at 1-1.

The Wildcats (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Vian (Vian, OK). The Wolverines enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Vian was routed by Panama (Panama, OK), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
