The Pewitt Brahmas edged the host Bowie Pirates volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Brahmas face the Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, August 16. Pewitt will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to CHAAMP HomeSchool (Mt. Pleasant, TX).

With the loss, Bowie drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Redwater (Redwater, TX) to play the Dragons in a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 19. The Dragons come into the outing with a record of 0-3. Redwater lost 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Maud (Maud, TX)
