The Lamar Vikings volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Copperas Cove Bulldawgs to 0 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rivera for a non-league outing on Friday, August 15. Lamar will play a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Stevens (San Antonio, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Copperas Cove drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs travel to Austin (Austin, TX) to play the Maroons in a non-league outing on Friday, August 15. The Maroons come into the outing with a record of 2-0. Austin won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lehman (Kyle, TX)
