In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Cumby Trojans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Mt. Pleasant Tigers.

The Tigers now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league test on Friday, August 15. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.
