In Thursday's non-league test, the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the New Hope Trojans.

With the win, Starkville advances its record to 5-6 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS) to face the Chargers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 2-2. Choctaw County won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS)

With the loss, New Hope drops to 2-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Vancleave (Vancleave, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 16. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 3-0. Vancleave won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS)
