Southwest Georgia STEM Charter Aggies (Shellman, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA), 18-10 in a league challenge.

The Aggies now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Early County for a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 16. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 18-4 league loss to Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Calhoun County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mitchell County (Camilla, GA) to battle the Eagles in a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
