The Smithfield-Selma Spartans held off the visiting South Garner Titans volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league test.
The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Johnston for a non-league test on Wednesday, August 17. Smithfield-Selma will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
The Titans (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Enloe (Raleigh, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Enloe held off Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 3-0, in a non-league test.
