In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Hayesville Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Smoky Mountain Mustangs.
The Yellowjackets (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Tuscola achieved victory over Enka (Enka, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 21. Smoky Mountain will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Maroon Devils come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
