The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS) and the host Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), saw Columbia's volleyball squad beat Laurel by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Monday, August 21. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 2-3.

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bay Springs for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. Laurel will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.
