Texas High School Volleyball - Lufkin tips Hallsville

August 15, 2023: Hallsville, TX 75650

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) and the host Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX), saw Lufkin's volleyball squad nip Hallsville by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Lufkin upgrades its record to 7-5 on the year. The Panthers host Gladewater (Gladewater, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Gladewater won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Leverett's Chapel (Leverett's Chapel, TX)

The Bobcats now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Gilmer for a non-league bout on Friday, August 18. Hallsville will play a Buckeyes squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Rusk (Rusk, TX). The Buckeyes record now stands at 7-6.
