The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) and the host West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), saw South Caldwell's volleyball squad beat West Caldwell by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Spartans host Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Warriors now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Avery County for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. West Caldwell will play a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
