The Starkville Academy Volunteers overwhelmed the host Central Holmes Christian Trojans softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Volunteers meet the Oak Hill Academy Raiders (West Point, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Starkville Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
The Trojans (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Indianola Academy (Indianola, MS). The Colonels go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Indianola Academy was routed by Central Holmes Christian (Lexington, MS), 17-7, in a non-league challenge.
