The Woodland Wildcats softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Dalton Catamounts to 12 in the Wildcats league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hiram for a 4A Region 7 battle on Monday, August 19. Woodland will confront a Hornets team coming off a 6-4 league loss to Cass (White, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Dalton moves to 1-5 on the season. The Catamounts travel to Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA) to confront the Raiders in a 4A Region 7 battle on Monday, August 19. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 0-7. Southeast Whitfield County lost 12-0 in their recent league battle against Cartersville (Cartersville, GA)
