The Jones County Greyhounds overwhelmed the visiting Eagle's Landing Eagles softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds meet the Coffee Trojans (Douglas, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 17. Jones County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Appling County (Baxley, GA).

The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 2 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Stockbridge was routed by Dutchtown (Hampton, GA), 9-6, in a non-league challenge.
