In Thursday's league match, the host North Paulding Wolfpack softball team scored a tight 13-7 win over the Etowah Eagles.

The Wolfpack (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Wheeler (Marietta, GA). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region 5 match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Wheeler was routed by Walton (Marietta, GA), 14-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) in a 6A Region 5 match, on Tuesday, August 20. Etowah will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record.
