The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) and the host Sprayberry Yellow Jackets (Marietta, GA), observed River Ridge's softball team get by Sprayberry by a tally of 8-1.

The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, East Coweta tipped Pike County (Zebulon, GA), 9-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Riverwood Raiders (Sandy Springs, GA) in a 5A Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, August 20. Sprayberry will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 4-1 league loss to Creekview (Canton, GA).
