In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Churchill Chargers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Bowie Bulldogs.

The Chargers (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX). The Shamrocks come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Incarnate Word edged SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Gatesville Hornets (Gatesville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 16. Bowie will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over McCallum (Austin, TX).
