Gateway College Preparatory Gators (Georgetown, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Giddings (Giddings, TX). The Buffaloes come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Giddings was beaten by Iola (Iola, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars face the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 15. Jarrell will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Stony Point (Round Rock, TX).
