With the win, Avery County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings travel to West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 17. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-1. West Caldwell lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)

The Gryphons now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lincolnton for a non-league bout on Monday, August 22.
