Broken Bow Savages (Broken Bow, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Poteau Pirates (Poteau, OK), 12-9 in a league challenge.

The Savages now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Muldrow for a 4A District 5 challenge on Thursday, August 18. Broken Bow will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Checotah (Checotah, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Poteau falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Stigler (Stigler, OK) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 23. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
