The Concord Spiders held off the host Central Academy Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Spiders now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robinson for a non-league test on Monday, August 21. Concord will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Porter Ridge held off West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
